My Fitness Journey

In the picture of me in the sweatpants, I weighed about 175 pounds, and I had an incredible low self-esteem. I was 29 in that pic, and I had so much to work on besides my weight loss. I eventually did lose the weight within a year. I've had a couple of struggles, but ultimately I've kept off the bulk of the weight that I did lose. I can't give expert advice, but I can tell you what did work for me: exercise (cardio), weight training, drinking water, eating better :Less fast food and processed foods, very few sweets, almond milk.. No dairy milk. I still eat potatoes and always will, but I've cut back on the amount of white potatoes that I used to eat.

Ultimately if you want to lose weight, you can do it. If you feel discouraged, talk to a friend and get a work out buddy. Join a gym... Get a trainer... Stay positive and take it one day at a time. Hang around people that also want what you want.

Just remember : YOU CAN DO IT! Exercise for your health and overall well being. In mid 2014, I decided that my focus would be #strongisthenewskinny. I want to build muscle and be toned and be in shape.

I would love for you to share as well on my website in your journey of getting in shape or weight loss or you can message me. Like I said, I'm not an expert, but I do know from my experience what does work and what doesn't. I'll be sharing tips and encouragement in future posts.
